Presented by local artists and Yahara Bay Distillers co-founder Catherine Forde-Quint
Marrying Art and Artisan, Yahara Bay’s art gallery showcases the works of Wisconsin’s most talented artists.
Catherine’s creative journey with painting has evolved from watercolors, to oil, to acrylic, and then back to watercolor. Watercolor has afforded her to “experiment with paint and how it reacts to different surfaces, added textured papers, and other 3 dimensional decorative items.” Her journey has taken her far from being a “purist” watercolor painter to enjoying an open door for experimental techniques. This open door has offered a world of unusual ideas including the addition of torn watercolor paper, sewn paper shapes, cut glass, three dimensional jewelry pieces along with beautiful handmade painted Japanese papers...all culminating into a new direction called: 2 Dimensional Sculpture.
Catherine’s vision for Yahara Bay includes providing Wisconsin’s artist community a gallery to showcase the diverse and gifted talents found in our great State.
